Helping Leaders & Organizations Excel

Applied Individual and Team Coaching

One of the greatest benefits of
LeadershipImpact for organizations is what we call AITC: Applied Individual and Team Coaching. We do not do coaching in the abstract; we provide hands-on assessment, feedback, and advice as needed while we are working together on real projects of vital importance to the organization. It is the difference between having a coach who does skill drills and one who works with you to improve skills and execution during the game.

Although many leaders have been helped just by having a person they can go to for advice and counsel, we have found it more effective when coaching takes place in the context of working together on core organizational issues.

In our experience, leaders inside an organization generally already have the management knowledge they need to perform well, but sometimes they haven’t been able to put their ideas into words or their words into an effective course of action.  That’s where applied coaching comes in.  For example, if we are working with a CEO on succession planning or board relations or with the CEO and senior management team on strategy or process improvements, we can test different approaches and provide feedback and timely suggestions right on the spot.

AITC is a key to bringing out the best in people and getting a good return on the organization’s investment in management and leadership talent. Our task focus is on aligning talent, strategy, and systems, but the value-added is the applied coaching that happens in context.
