The May 2008 Newsletter is about building relationships.
Managers need to attend to both tasks and people -- neither to the exclusion of the other -- if they want to be effective leaders. It works the same way with teams. Teams and team leaders need to pay specific attention to building positive relationships among team members, if they want their teams to function at optimal levels.
On page 2, I have included some specific recommendations for creating settings where team members will get to know each other and each other's strengths better.
